Purpose-Built Facilities to Support Learning, Wellbeing and Success
At Furrowfield School, we are proud to provide a wide range of high-quality facilities designed to support our personalised, inclusive and ambitious approach to education. Every learning environment has been carefully developed to meet the social, emotional and mental health needs of our students, ensuring they feel safe, supported and ready to achieve their full potential.
Our modern classrooms, specialist science laboratory and dedicated Reading Room provide engaging and supportive spaces where students can access a broad and balanced curriculum. In addition, a range of breakout areas and carefully designed learning environments help students regulate, reflect and re-engage with their learning when needed.
Supporting Health, Fitness and Wellbeing
Physical activity plays an important role in student wellbeing at Furrowfield School. Students have access to excellent sporting facilities, including a state-of-the-art Fitness Suite, Cardio Therapy Room, Sports Hall, Multi-Use Games Area (MUGA) and outdoor sports pitches. These facilities support curriculum learning, recreation, therapeutic interventions and enrichment opportunities while promoting healthy lifestyles, resilience and confidence.
Students are encouraged to develop teamwork, motivation and positive attitudes towards physical activity, helping them build habits that support lifelong wellbeing.
Therapeutic and Personalised Support Spaces
A key strength of Furrowfield School is our extensive therapeutic provision. Students benefit from dedicated spaces for counselling, emotional regulation, LEGO-based therapy, art therapy and music-based interventions. These specialist environments provide calm, nurturing spaces where students can reflect, regulate emotions and access targeted support through our Therapeutic Assessment and Support Centre (TASC).
Our specialist facilities also include the Avril Music Room, which supports both curriculum learning and therapeutic engagement through music, allowing students to develop creativity, confidence and self-expression.
Outdoor Learning and Vocational Opportunities
We believe that learning extends beyond the classroom. Students can access a growing range of outdoor learning environments, including an outdoor classroom, nature therapy areas and our developing Forest School. These spaces provide opportunities for practical learning, emotional development, reflection and connection with the natural environment.
Students also benefit from vocational learning opportunities through our dedicated Hair Salon and Food Technology Room, where they develop practical skills, independence and confidence while preparing for future education, training and employment pathways.
Personalised Spaces for Individual Needs
As part of our commitment to meeting individual needs, Furrowfield School offers specialised facilities including our Girls' Values Programme Bungalow and Nurture Support Bungalow. These spaces provide personalised academic, emotional and pastoral support in environments tailored to help students feel comfortable, secure and successful.
Latitude 55
Our dining facility, Latitude 55, provides a welcoming and structured environment where students can enjoy freshly prepared meals each day. Designed to support healthy lifestyles and positive daily routines, Latitude 55 forms an important part of our commitment to student wellbeing and creating a sense of community within the school.

Whether students are learning in the classroom, accessing therapeutic support, participating in sport, developing vocational skills or enjoying outdoor learning opportunities, our facilities provide the environments, resources and experiences needed for every student to regulate, engage, achieve and thrive.
