HAF Plus is a free holiday activities and food programme for young people in Years 9, 10 and 11 who are eligible for benefit-related free school meals. It offers a range of fun activities during the school holidays, helping young people stay active, make friends and enjoy new experiences.
Summer 2026 Programme
The HAF Plus App is now available for Summer 2026 bookings. Eligible families will need their e-voucher code to register and access activities. E-voucher codes were emailed to eligible parents and carers by Holiday Activities.
Not Receiving Free School Meals?
Families who think they may be eligible for benefit-related free school meals can apply online through Gateshead Council. The application process is quick and straightforward.
Younger Children
Children below Year 9 can access Gateshead's Brighten the Day holiday activities programme, which provides similar opportunities for younger children.
