Safeguarding – Everyone's Responsibility

At Furrowfield School, safeguarding is everyone's responsibility. We are committed to providing a safe, secure and nurturing environment for all students, staff and visitors, where wellbeing is prioritised and everyone feels valued, respected and protected.

We promote a culture where students and adults feel confident to share any concerns they may have about their own safety or the welfare of others. We believe that early intervention and effective support are key to ensuring that every child receives the help they need at the right time.

Our safeguarding arrangements are embedded throughout school life and are supported by strong pastoral care, positive relationships, clear procedures and close partnership working with families and external agencies.

Keeping Children Safe

  • Attendance and engagement in education
  • Bullying and peer-on-peer abuse
  • Child exploitation and county lines awareness
  • Domestic abuse and family support
  • Healthy relationships and personal safety
  • Local support services and safeguarding guidance

Need Help or Advice?

If you have any concerns about the safety, welfare or wellbeing of a student, please contact a member of our safeguarding team. We will listen, offer support and, where appropriate, help signpost you to the right services and agencies.

No concern is too small. By working together, we can help ensure that all children and young people feel safe, supported and able to thrive.

Reporting a Safeguarding Concern

Any safeguarding concerns should be directed to the safeguarding team immediately.

A telephone operator will take your details and ensure that your concern is passed to the appropriate team for support and advice. If your call is not answered immediately, please be patient, as staff may be assisting another caller.
