Welcome to Furrowfield School.
It is a privilege to lead a school where every young person is valued, supported and empowered to succeed. At Furrowfield School, we are committed to improving life chances for all of our students through a highly personalised, inclusive and therapeutic approach to education.
As a specialist setting supporting students with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, we recognise that each child’s journey is unique. Our role is to understand those individual needs, remove barriers to learning and provide the right balance of challenge and support so that every student can achieve their full potential.
At the heart of our school is the Furrowfield Way. We strive to develop students who are imaginative, inquisitive, resilient, reflective and able to work collaboratively, alongside nurturing the values of kindness, thoughtfulness and empowerment. These qualities are embedded across all areas of school life and prepare our students to become confident, successful citizens of the future.
We pride ourselves on our holistic approach to education, where academic learning sits alongside strong pastoral care and therapeutic support. Our Therapeutic Assessment and Support Centre (TASC) plays a vital role in supporting students to regulate, reflect and re-engage in learning, ensuring that all students are able to succeed both emotionally and academically.
Relationships are central to everything we do. Through our ethos of Together We Succeed, we work in close partnership with students, families, staff, governors and external professionals to ensure that every young person is supported, understood and ready to achieve.
